Before your Touch Up appointment

A little preparation helps your touch-up heal evenly and gives us the best chance to refine your final permanent makeup result. Please review the guidelines below before your visit at Artist of Beauty.

A. Make sure the area is healed

A touch-up should be done only after the initial procedure has healed enough to properly evaluate the result. This allows us to see what your skin retained and what needs refinement.

  • Do not book too early if the area is still peeling, irritated, or sensitive.
  • The final healed color usually appears around 4–6 weeks after the first procedure.
  • If you are unsure whether you are ready, send a clear photo before booking.
B. What we evaluate

During your touch-up, we look at the healed color, shape, symmetry, and pigment retention to decide what should be adjusted.

  • Areas that healed lighter or patchy can be refined.
  • Small shape or density adjustments can be made if needed.
  • The goal is to complete and balance the result, not overwork the skin.
Pre-appointment guidelines
  • Come with clean skin in the treatment area.
  • Avoid makeup directly on the area before the appointment.
  • Avoid tanning or sunburn before your visit.
  • Avoid alcohol, cannabis, and CBD for 24–48 hours before.
  • If you take prescription blood thinners, consult your doctor. Avoid aspirin/ibuprofen for about 3 days before unless medically necessary.
  • If the area is irritated, broken, sunburned, or not fully healed, please message us before coming in.
Day of your appointment
  • Come prepared to discuss how the healed result looks to you.
  • Tell us if you want the result kept soft or slightly more defined.
  • Bring photos only if they help explain your preference, but refinements will be based on your healed result.
  • If your healed result looks patchy, light, or uneven, don’t worry — that is exactly what a touch-up is designed to refine.
